In case you missed it! After 4 years of not being on Social Media, Meghan, the Duchess of Sussex, has made a triumphant return to Instagram with a new post-royal life venture.

Known for her flair for lifestyle and fashion, the Suits alumni has unveiled her latest project, American Riviera Orchard, which appears to be an ode to her current home base Montecito— a beautiful coastal town in California known for its stunning scenery, perfect weather, and luxurious homes. It’s also a favourite spot for celebrities and the wealthy.
Although details of this new venture are still scanty, American Riviera Orchard looks set to become a minimalistic lifestyle brand reflecting Meghan’s refined yet relatable taste. According to the brand’s trademark application, American Riviera Orchard will involve a bit of retailing, selling cookbooks and recipe books, tableware, and drinkware including decanters, kitchen linens, and delectable edible treats such as jellies, jams, marmalade, and spreads.
Meanwhile, the brand’s official Instagram page has teased followers with glimpses into Meghan’s daily life and aesthetic in her uncluttered Montecito home. In a very catch it or you’ll miss it video posted on Instagram, the Duchess of Sussex can be seen arranging flowers in a vase, cooking in her kitchen that evokes a Spanish aesthetic, and standing in her hallway dressed in a voluminous black gown, hinting at the diverse offerings of her latest project.
American Riviera Orchard however also appears to echo Meghan’s previous editorial pursuits, particularly her acclaimed lifestyle blog, The Tig. Named after her favourite wine, Tignanello, The Tig was a hub of inspiration to millions of her followers where she curated her pre-royal world topics ranging from travel and fashion to food and wellness.
In 2017 the Tig was shut down, following her engagement to Prince Harry. The closure of The Tig obviously left a void in the lifestyle blogging sphere. With rumours swirling early this year that there were hints of her return to Instagram, fans have been eager for Meghan’s return to digital platforms. Now, with the launch of American Riviera Orchard, the Duchess of Sussex seems poised to revive the spirit of The Tig, inviting her audience to once again join her on a new journey of discovery and delight.
In 2020, Meghan and Harry stepped back from royal duties, to become private citizens. They first moved to Canada, then settled in California’s Montecito. Since then, they have pursued independent projects including Meghan’s popular podcast, Archetypes. It is currently being streamed on all platforms.
