Like clockwork, as soon as Halloween wraps up, I and perhaps a few other Christmas sticklers eagerly mark November 1st as the official start of the Christmas season. A signal for me to start Christmas shopping and immerse myself in the delightful world of Christmas songs.
Reflecting on my childhood, I remember how Christmas felt like a fleeting moment, lasting only a few days. Yet I never wanted this magical season to come and go in the blink of an eye. And so now as an adult, I am determined to always stretch this joyous season with a simple yet effective trick – kickstarting the Christmas cheer early. However, since my move from the Southern Hemisphere to the Northern Hemisphere, “White Christmas” by Bing Crosby has swiftly become a cherished favourite. And its the ability for this song to capture the dreamy atmosphere of a winter wonderland that makes it a must-listen, at Christmas time.
16. Mary’s Boy Child
This is yet another heartwarming carol that narrates the story of the birth of Jesus. I absolutely adore how it infuses the season with a sense of spirituality and reverence, reminding us of the sacred origins of Christmas.

T’s the season for giving. With its rhythmic simplicity and poignant narrative, “Little Drummer Boy” celebrates the humble and heartfelt gift-giving spirit of Christmas, resonating with the theme of spreading joy through simple acts of kindness.

Now this is one cool and lively mix that brings a fresh vibe to holiday tunes. Snoop Dogg and Anna Kendrick’s collab isn’t your usual classic—it’s a rare one that’s now hitting the modern charts.
